Samsung Galaxy S7 to launch at Mobile World Congress. Confirming rumours that have been circulating for some time, Samsung will be unveiling its flagship S7 and S7 Edge smartphones at MWC. It is believed the phone will feature a number of improvements such as increased battery life with a jump to 3,000 mAh for the Galaxy S7 and the S7 Edge to 3,600 mAh. Implemented once before with the Galaxy S5, it is also rumoured water resistance will be making a return with the S7 with an IP67 rating. That rating means it is “totally protected” against dust and “protected against the effect of immersion between 15 cm and 1 m. There are also reports the phone will be one of the first mainstream Android smartphones to ship with a pressure-sensitive display. Similar to Apple’s 3D Touch it will respond to different levels of pressure applied to the multi touch glass display. The pressure sensitive technology should allow Samsung to add more options to the display than the traditional swipe, pinch and tap used on multi-touch smartphones.
POP COVER will be launching a number of new cases for both the S7 and S7 Edge. These will include Snap, Tough options and our new faux leather Folio cases. Please keep an eye out for them on the POP COVER website.
